Deepak is our Project Manager in Aruchour and a secondary school teacher of English, Geography and Social Studies. He has lived in Aruchour all his life but obtained his degree and teaching qualification in Pokhara. His teaching post is in a another village. Each day he teaches (six days a week), he has to walk for 1¾ hours to get to his school and the same distance home again.

This picture was taken by two of our trustees on a visit to Aruchour in 2007. He is making a hand-brush for us. All their household tools are made in this way.
